Twitter, Facebook Marketing and SEO
So you’re trying to get your company on the 21st century online map. You’ve utilized all the SEO tools you’re supposed to, like judicious keyword usage, proper use of title, meta, and header tags, indexing your images and links, XML sitemaps, properly focused content, and you’ve built up a network of sites to link back to yours. Yet, even with all this search engine optimization you’re still not getting the visits you think you deserve.
There is one crucial element left out of many SEO tips, partially because it’s a whole different animal all together. SMO, or social media optimization, is a subsect of search engine optimization. Because so many people use social media sites like Twitter and Facebook more often than search engines like Google, if you forget to market your site through social media, you miss out on the opportunity to offer your content, products or services to all of these people. Furthermore, by linking your social media marketing with submission to social bookmarking sites like Digg, Blogthis!, Orkut, and Myspace, your search engine page ranking actually increases.
The fact is that search engines like Google have chosen to ally themselves with the aims of social bookmarking sites. This means that the more Social Bookmarking sites a blog, forum, or website is registered with, the more “important” it is seen to be by the search engine algorithm. If your site is submitted to a ton of social bookmarking sites and if it also receives a lot of hits, “Diggs,” or otherwise positive feedback, its search engine ranking only increases.
Of course, utilizing social media like Twitter or social bookmarking like Digg requires more than simply posting your information to the site. You need to make friends, build contacts, and generally get the word out about your product and content in a way that doesn’t turn people away. It’s an art form that is, understandably, difficult to get comfortable with. Not only that, but it can be time-consuming – who has time to market their product all over the Internet in increasingly strange and technical forums? By using a service like http://www.isellpr.com, you can let us do all that work for you. Our proven algorithms and research ensures that you get the . Each site measures popularity in a different way, but with our help, you can take advantage of everything the world of Social Media Marketing has to offer.
Many people are still getting used to the ins and outs of SEO, let alone this new notion known as SMO, as a means of spreading information about their site and getting more hits. All forms of Internet Marketing are becoming increasingly difficult and confusing. For just one low, one-time price, we can help you navigate that world. Then all that confusion will be replaced by improved page views, and with luck, improved profits for you.
Plenty of people only interface with the Internet through the auspices of sites like Twitter or Facebook, and many use a site’s Digg rating to determine whether it’s worth clicking on the link. And it’s not only people; search engines are coming to trust social media more and more to determine what’s important and what nobody’s interested in. Kill two birds with one stone and invest in a Social Media Marketing solution – both your SEO and SMO will improve dramatically.

Tip* to have updated content everyday on twitter, you can utilize a news aggregator or RSS feed, you can as well post at planned times during the day. The max. tweets you should post per day should be between 2 and 4. more than 5 tweets is overkill.

My twitter marketing tip: Be a Master Asker – Don’t be afraid to ask for a specific action on your Twitter feed, for example a retweet. If you don’t ask for retweets, people will not give you one. If you don’t ask for props, they may not give you one. Ask and you shall receive.
